Walkers Sons & Company Engineers (Pvt) Ltd is a subsidiary company geared to carry out challenging mechanical engineering projects to meet the island’s power generation, petroleum, cement, water management & irrigation structures. The services compliments with regular on the job & shutdown maintenance of plant and machinery.

Over the years large scale projects for both public and private sector have been carried out thus contributing to the national development of the country. Rising above the others amongst projects executed in the very recent past is a mega project for upgrading of cement manufacturing carried out for Holcim Lanka PLC. The work included erection of a coal grinding plant , structural steel work for the roller press building, replacement of the existing Electrostatic Precipitator with a new dust bag on line filter and clinker bins & hoppers for the cement plant in Palavi – Puttalam. The completion of the new dust bag on line filter ensured a clear “Blue Sky” in the surrounding area free of emitting of cement dust dissipated to the atmosphere. Under the USAID Tsunami Re-construction Programme for the re-construction of a new bridge in Arugam Bay (Potuvil), supply, erection and alignment of the bridge steel prefabricated structure was undertaken for the main contractor Simplex Infrastructure Ltd of India. We are currently constructing a design & built 5000 MT capacity steel petroleum oil storage tank conforming to the API 650. All of the above mentioned projects were executed by a team of engineers & specialist with high grade of skill and experience in such work.
